Technology Highlights
Cushion and Elbow: The dual-wall, Spring Air cushion is coated with soft-touch frosting to providecomfort and even pressure distribution. Incorporating a softer texture at the nasal bridge—and the absence of an undercushion—reduces soreness, irritation and discomfort. Squeeze-tab elbow makes it easy to attach and detach the elbow from the frame with just one hand. Tubing can be attached to the elbow prior to the elbow being attached to the frame. This eliminates the hard snap of a swivel and pushing into the face. In-moulded vent design moulded into the cushion to disperse air gently and quietly away from bed partner. Frame: The Mirage FX a streamlined, unobtrusive nasal mask; users will love the feeling of openness and clear line of sight. The lightweight, durable frame is strong enough to stabilise the mask on the face, yet soft enough to accommodate user movement during sleep. Flexible, winged forehead support allows a dynamic range of fit and adjustment; the plastic does not come into contact with the face. Over-moulded headgear loops simplify attachment and detachment of headgear, and retain optimal headgear settings.
Headgear: ResMed has developed a unique textile composition specially for the Mirage FX headgear.
The materials used are both flexible and breathable, improving comfort and support for users. SoftEdge™ headgear design is kind to the face; made from soft material with a rounded cross-section, reducing marks and discomfort. This seamless edge of the headgear helps reduce the amount of touch points on the face, in turn reducing the chances of marking on the skin.
