I love this unit with a very functional humidifier. I no longer wake with dry nose and the unit is very quiet. Of the 4 I have used this is by far the best!

Great machine. Auto-PAP machines (like this one) are definitely the future and top of the line allowing the machine to adjust the pressure for what you need while you sleep. Before you fall asleep and when you wake, you don't need the higher pressure so the machine drops it down to the settings your doctor prescribes. This makes things so much more comfortable then the same constant pressure blowing in your face while you are awake and sleep. This machine is super quiet too.
The humidifier works great and with a this machine you have the option to buy the "Climateline" tubing, which allows you to adjust the temperature of the air you breath. It is really awesome and I recommend you do that because on cold night or if you have sinus problems like me, the warm heated humidified air feels really good. Once you attach the tubing, it shows up on the display and you can adjust the temperature by turning the knob.
Definitely worth the price. You can buy cheaper machines, but you lose out on the comfort features that this one has.

Was in crisis mode after old machine conked out (Respironics REMstar M Series). While waiting for provider and insurance co. to give me a quote on a new machine and going on 7 days I decided to take matters into my own hands. I had the cpap shop overnight a ResMed S9 AutoSet Machine to me. Even if I don't ever get reimbursed from Insurance it was well worth it.

This CPAP machine is FANTASTIC. I love it. It is SILENT. It is completely dark - my husband's CPAP makes noise and has lights that stay on all night - crazy! My ResMed S9 is absolutely silent and dark and wonderful! AND the humidifier does not use a huge amount of water.
My only complaint is that the unit and the humidifying compartment tend to disengage too easily - I have to pick the unit up carefully when I do so. BUT I seldom have any reason to pick it up. The humidifier compartment opens and you lift the water container out to fill it.
Great machine - love it. ABSOLUTELY worth the price.

Tried adjusting humidity ...as high as 5.5- 6
Emptied out reservoir in 5 hrs.
Lowered temperature to 67 F....so still trying to figure settings.
Very quiet other than it seems to amplify your breathing.

I like this machine very much!

I finally put my suitcase size cpap to rest. Going through all of the choices was difficult. I am a value conscious buyer and wanted to make sure this machine was worth it. It is very high dollar! But I must say that I am not disappointed at all. Of course, it looks cool. But looks are sometimes deceiving. These looks are not. I am getting the best sleep of my life. Machine can be a bit quieter but it is not the noticeable. All in all, great purchase even at the steep cost! Thanks for your help, Luke

had S8 for 7 years (2006) on off switch was starting to go - So on 2/2013 I received S9 - is super quiet - smaller footprint for traveling - even the travel case has efficient design - water chamber is 400% improvement over S8 - had considered having S8 referbished for "spare" but this is so much better S8 would not be satisfactory as spare. Also, CPAP shop delivered S9 over night so I would consider this option instead of a having OLD "spare" unit

The S9 Autoset with the Climateline is the “Cadillac” of all CPAP APAP machines.
Very well designed attractive looking with color displays and most of the information available on the machine without downloading the SD card to the Rescan program on your computer where more detailed info available with all kinds of reports and graphs.
The machine itself is the quietest on the market today and most of all you don’t even hear your breathing noise inside the full face mask you wear. The algorithm is the best I found on all the machines I tried, extremely responsive and very effective treating your OSA or Hypopnea. It also differentiates and recognizes central apnea.
It is certainly not inexpensive but if you have the money you will not be disappointed and definitely get what you paid for.

WOW...Firstly, my point of comparison is an old respironics machine which is nearly as big as my night table. I finally gave in and went top of the line. In an instant, I knew I didn't go wrong with the purchase.
When the machine arrived, I was blown away at how small and stylish it was. I can hold the machine in my palm. It also looks much nicer on my night table.
Once I turned on the machine to try it out, it barely made noise. Again, my point of reference was similar in sound to a vacuum cleaner. But this machine was really quiet and could barely hear it running.
After a few nights using it, I could not believe how much better I felt. The big difference was the automatic adjustment. I always had trouble breathing against my high pressure but I didn't even notice it with this one. In fact, I woke up much more refreshed than ever.
If you are using an old machine and its time for a new one, I would highly recommend the S9 auto. It is a bit pricey but well worth the investment.

By far the best CPAP I've ever used. I decided to switch to an auto which turned out to be a great decision. I was tired of the constant pressure that irritated my nose. The auto is super quiet-i dont even know its on-and I have been getting a great night sleep since I started using it last month. Thanks to you folk at the CPAP Shop for steering me in the right direction. I'll be back!

This CPAP is the best I ever used. It is super quiet and very simple to use. I really like the heated tube. Doesnt even look like a CPAP. Will definitely recommend this to my friends.

I had the monster old style S7 and needed to upgrade.
VERY Quiet, lightweight, small, no more rain in my mask(Make sure you get the heated tube), completely automatic. .
Cons: Have to use an inverter to run from a battery just like my S7.

I have not had any problems with rainout since I've bought this machine. No more condensation in the tube and on my face! The heated tube is great. This cpap is very user friendly! My previous machine was a Resmed S7 with more hours on it than i can say, but it still works. I have had great success with the Resmed brand and hope this new S9 unit lasts as long as my S7
