DreamStation Go with Heated Humidifier Review

February 20, 2019 | |

You’ve been calling writing to us asking for a travel CPAP with a heated humidifier option. We’ve been listening and taking notes. Now, as an authorized dealer for Philips, we’re happy to share some big news. The much-anticipated DreamStation Go with heated humidifier is now in stock. And our team at The CPAP Shop, one of a few authorized dealers for Philips, is here to answer all your questions.

Travel has never been so easy….or comfortable!

The DreamStation Go with Heated Humidifier is the newest addition to the line of Respironics CPAP machines.

At under 2 lbs and sized to fit in the palm of your hand, the DreamStation Go has long been a customer favorite to deliver sleep apnea therapy on the go. Now, the travel-friendly CPAP also delivers heated humidification. The DreamStation Go is taking comfort to unprecedented levels.

The heated humidifier integrates and can be purchased with either the standard DreamStation Go Travel CPAP or the upgraded DreamStation Go Auto Travel CPAP with Heated Humidifier. Current DreamStation Go owners have the option of purchasing only the heated humidifier to increase their therapy comfort.

The DreamStation Go with Heated Humidifier takes tap, distilled, or bottled water.

Go Everywhere, Sleep Anywhere

Humidification has been a difficult hurdle for travel CPAPs. Why? It is hard to fit a large water chamber in a small machine. Philips introduces new water-saving technology in this new model. The new humidifier can deliver a full night of heated humidification by automatically adjusting moisture delivery to ambient conditions and therapy settings. Additionally, the machine includes a heater plate shutdown safety feature. The safety engages if the patient underfills or forgets to fill the humidifier. This prevents dry, uncomfortable air from delivering to the patient.

And the best part? The DreamStation Go heated humidifier is designed to use tap, bottled, or distilled water. You no longer need to worry about packing or purchasing distilled water after you arrive at your destination! This feature, more than any other, truly distinguishes this travel CPAP from all its competitors. It is all about convenience.

Minimal Added Weight

Travelers complain about lugging around a humidifier along with a CPAP every time they travel. To that end, the DreamStation Go’s humidifier only adds an additional 0.76 lbs to the unit. The integration is quite simple as well; remove a side plate and click-in to place. The water tank has a 240 ml capacity. It is compatible with all tubing including the micro-flexible 12mm, 15mm, and 22mm standard tubing.

The new and improved DreamStation Go offers CPAP patients unparalleled freedom. The compact, state-or-art machine is easy to use with an intuitive color touchscreen, a built-in power supply for fewer parts, and an integrated USB port to easily charge mobile devices. Furthermore, for those who lack a power source, an optional overnight, rechargeable lithium-ion battery is a key feature. Finally, this unit is compatible with all CPAP masks and is FAA-compliant for in-flight use.

The DreamStation Go with Heated Humidifier comes with optional sleep coaching.

DreamStation Go Plus Sleep Coaching–Consumers Win

At The CPAP Shop, we believe in putting our customer’s needs first. As a result, we have partnered with Philips Respironics to offer optional premier sleep coaching with the DreamStation Go. Users will receive two phone calls from a sleep coach to assist with any technical questions that stem from initial use. Topics covered include machine setup, menu applications, functionality, humidification, heated tubing, CPAP mask issues, and the DreamMapper app.

“Understanding the nuance of a new CPAP purchase and implementing best practices creates a solid foundation for improved results and a better quality of life. By connecting with experts who can provide tips and troubleshoot problems, we are starting CPAP users off on the path to long-term compliance and success,” said Chris Vasta, President, The CPAP Shop.
