Philips Launches New DreamStation 2 CPAP
Philips Respironics has launched a new and improved auto CPAP machine. The development of the Advanced DreamStation 2 has refined the overall auto CPAP machine into a lighter, more compact unit. New features have been added, in addition to a complete redesign – all focused on enhancing CPAP therapy for patients.
A Smaller, Lighter Auto CPAP Machine
The new reduced design is now 22% smaller and 16% lighter than other auto CPAP machines on the market. Enhancing their first successful design, the engineers at Philips Respironics also made this unit 29% smaller than the original DreamStation. A smaller, more compact unit means easier transportation when using it as a travel unit and less space on your nightstand.

Ramp Plus Feature Helps New CPAP Patients
Ramp Plus is among the new features included with the DreamStation 2. As new CPAP patients struggle with adapting to prescribed pressure settings, Ramp Plus eases them into CPAP therapy with a lower more comfortable pressure setting. As they fall asleep, Ramp Plus automatically changes to the prescribed settings so patients stay CPAP compliant and comfortable all night long.
Humidification Built-In
The benefit of integrated humidification means users no longer have to add on their optional humidifier, which can become difficult to pack when traveling. The bult-in design offers moistened pressurized air to prevent nasal soreness and dry throat in the morning without additional equipment.

The new humidifier design builds on the simplicity of the DreamStation Go version. Just slide the water chamber out, fill it with water, and slide it back into place until it clicks. Patients can easily fill or change their humidifier with one hand.
Advanced Smart Features Improve CPAP Machine Interaction

I love my dreamstation 2, I’ve never slept this good ever. Took a few nights to get use to it, but now I can’t think about sleeping without it. To bad I’m going to have to give it back after using it for a year now. To much with the insurance I’ve got now. Thank you for the good night sleep

I got my replacement cpap and its a piece of junk. It does not work properly and it makes horrible noises. I’ve recieved a congratulation letter from my pulmonologist in the past. Even though I have it on it says I only have it on 1 to 2 hours. This machine should have never left the factory.

I recd the dreamstation 2 as a replacement for the recalled machine. I find that the humidifier is much less effective. I have to use it at the level 5 which is the highest and I still dry out. With the other dreamstation I would use level 2 of 5. Does anyone know if this is normal? or experiencing the same? would appreciate knowing anyone else’s experience. Am unsure if I have a defective machine
