ResMed AirFit N30 Nasal Mask Review

Adjusting to a nasal mask is one of the biggest hurdles that new CPAP patients face. Discomfort issues often lead to patients abandoning therapy completely. With the new AirFit N30 Nasal Mask, ResMed has introduced a lightweight (only 1.6 oz) mask geared toward helping new patients more easily adapt to CPAP therapy.

Key Features of the ResMed AirFit N30 Nasal Mask

The lightweight design of this nasal mask is coupled by exceptionally quiet performance. The QuietAir technology diffuses air venting and minimizes any sleep disruption. The elastic headgear offers a customizable fit, using a fully adjustable, split back design.

Benefits of using the ResMed AirFit N30 Nasal Mask

The soft, curved cushion provides a comfortable fit free of nostril soreness and nose bridge red marks. A narrow profile makes it easy to wear the mask in different sleeping positions while still maintaining a secure seal.

What’s New and Improved with the AirFit N30?

Single sided clips in the headgear straps let you make more refined adjustments to the headgear for a perfect fit.

AirFit N30 Design

The smaller, lightweight design is ideal for anyone just starting therapy. The AirFit N30 is one of the few nasal masks that makes getting used to wearing a mask every night easier because of its minimal profile.

Is the ResMed AirFit N30 Nasal Mask Comfortable?

Combining soft silicone materials with an under-the-nose design, the ResMed AirFit N30 gently shapes to the nose for a more comfortable fit. The curved cushion helps alleviate common issues including nostril soreness, nasal bridge discomfort, and red marks.

Cushion Comfort

The curved cushion of the AirFit N30 is compact and incredibly soft. It cradles under your nose for a comfortable fit and secure seal.

Headgear Comfort

The headgear uses no Velcro and can be easily adjusted by widening the split back straps or using the included headgear clips so you can customize your headgear fit.

The AirFit N30 is easily cleaned with a mild detergent and warm water. The AirFit N30 disassembles and reassembles in three easy steps.

Noise Level

For both the new patient as well as the bed partner, adjusting to CPAP therapy means adapting to noisy airflow that may interrupt sleep. The AirFit N30 uses ResMed’s QuietAir™ technology, a diffusing vent that breaks up exhaled air to minimize sleep disruptions.

Ease of Use

The QuickFit headgear lets you slip it on and off easily when you need to get up in the middle of the night. Users can also disconnect their CPAP tube from the N30’s attached short tube.

Compatible CPAP Machines for AirFit N30 Nasal Mask

The AirFit N30 is compatible with most CPAP machines.

What Customers are Saying about the AirFit N30?

“Best mask I’ve found” – Review by Gman63385

I was very concerned that this mask would irritate my nostrils, as the nasal pillow masks I’ve tried in the past were very uncomfortable due to this. The first night, I struggled for the first 30 minutes to get accustomed to it.

“ResMed n30- So comfortable!” – Review by Gigi15

I love this mask! In fact, I love it so much that I ordered a second one to keep in my travel cpap bag so I can easily pick up my bag and go. I first ordered the ResMed n30 a few months ago. The mask is very soft and flexible.

“ResMed AirFit N30 Mask” – Review by Izzy

Best mask and headgear ever.

Very comfortable, good seal and no lines on my face in the morning.

“Wonderful new product” – Review by Diane

The N30 has minimal head gear and it fits the nose well with really minimal sense that it is there. It is flexible but maintains a good seal on the nose. There are no hard plastic parts.

Been through almost all of the pillow and nasal masks available and right from night one, I have slept more sound and longer with this new N30. So light you don’t really know its there.

Thanks for the information I adjusted the pressure on my cpap forgetting what the setting was so I am experimenting with various pressures I believe I may have increased it too much allowing me to drop my jay when sleeping. I have begun lowering the pressure to 14 hoping this will solve the problem.
