ResMed AirFit P10 Mask: The Results Are In

Lightweight and Comfortable

Just after ResMed's new AirFit P10 Nasal Pillow mask emerged on the market, we surveyed our customers who had purchased it about how it was working for them. We were confident that the unobtrusive straps and lightweight design would make for a satisfactory mask, but wanted to know how it worked in execution. Here is what you had to say about the ResMed AirFit P10 mask.

Most of the people who took our survey thought the overall fit of their AirFit P10 mask was excellent, and a total of 85% of respondents found the mask's fit at least satisfactory. Around 7% of people who took our survey thought their AirFit P10 mask was lacking in fit.

The distribution between fit and comfort were relatively similar, although more people from the "satisfactory fit" category jumped up to "excellent" when asked how comfortable their mask was.

We also asked, for comparison's sake, what type of CPAP mask people were using before they purchased the new AirFit P10. Many people were already loyal to the ResMed brand through the Swift and Mirage mask lines, though some switched from the DeVilbiss Aloha mask. Interestingly, many people said that they had used a full face mask before purchasing the P10 Nasal Pillow mask.

Once we learned what types of masks our respondents were using, we asked whether they preferred their old mask or their new AirFit P10 (or if they weren't sure yet). Nearly 70% of respondents preferred their new ResMed AirFit P10 to their previous CPAP mask.

Our next question was "If you think your mask works well, what are your reasons?" People largely answered that it was comfortable, light, and that it stayed in place with no leakage to speak of.

We also asked what ResMed could do for future releases of this mask to make it even better. Many of our respondents cited wanting the ability to adjust the headgear (note: the mask is adjustable, but perhaps a larger range of adjustment ability would suit some of our users better).

While not everyone loved the new ResMed AirFit P10 mask, most of the people who took our survey gave it an A!

Not every mask is right for every person, and it is normal for discrepancies of opinion to arise where CPAP masks are concerned. That being said, we feel confident in recommending the ResMed AirFit P10 mask to our customers. Based on the customer satisfaction we've already experienced with the mask as well as our own expertise as equipment retailers, we think it's one of the best on the market right now!
