How Does the Sleep8 Work?

The Sleep8 CPAP cleaner and sanitizer was designed for simplicity, ease of use. Users simply unplug their CPAP tube from their CPAP or BiPAP machine and re-attach it into the universal port inside the bag. Lastly, just place the CPAP mask and hose inside the bag and seal it.

Using activated oxygen, the Sleep8 cleans, sterilizes, and sanitizes the CPAP equipment without the use of water. The ozone cleaning technique disinfects the equipment, eliminating the breeding ground for germs, mold or other contaminants.

While other models use pressurized air pumps and fans to clean the equipment, the Sleep8 is silent. It also has built-in safety features, such as one-way flapper valves and a safety shut-off to prevent the unit from running when not properly connected.

Does the Sleep8 Work with my Machine or Mask?

The Sleep8 works with all masks, heated or non-heated tubing, headgear, or humidifier chamber. It requires no special adapters or connectors. Simply place the equipment in the sanitizing bag and press start.

How Long Does a Cycle Take?

Once you hit start, a full sanitization cycle takes approximately one hour. The Sleep8 will automatically turn off when complete.

How do I Charge the Battery?

Plug in the Sleep8 with a micro USB charger to begin charging the device. It takes 90 minutes to fully charge the device and each charge will last for two cleaning cycles.

Can I travel with the Sleep8?

The Sleep8 is a lightweight, small device that is cordless and waterless. It is the perfect travel CPAP cleaner and sanitizer and packs nicely in your suitcase or carry-on.

Is there a warranty?

The Sleep8 comes with an 18-month warranty for the device, 12-month warranty for the charger and 3-month warranty for the bag. Replacement parts are available at The CPAP Shop.

    Chris. I have been using original SoClean for years. Why should I change brands for my 2nd machine? Also Iam highly sensitive to smell and I am concerned that the ozone odor from Sleep8 might be too much for me. Your comments please

      If they’re concerned about the smell, in my experience one does not smell better or worse than the other. The main pro regarding the Sleep8 are its compact dimensions, which make it easier to travel with if that is a concern for you.

    I have a dreamstation with a resmed nasal pillows mask that connects to the tubing on top of my head. the tubing has a connector that snap locks onto the mask. Must i remove this connector every time i use the sleep8 in order to connect my tubing to the bag?

      Hi Greg, you do not have to disconnect your mask from the tube when using the Sleep8 sanitizer. The end that you would normally plug into your cpap machine, would be connected to the Sleep8 filter bag.

    The Sleep8 unit has been working effectively for me for over a year. However, on occasion the unit will be cycling and then suddenly beep rapidly. I have to disconnect it and reconnect and restart it at 60 minutes even if the unit cycle is a half hour along. Is there an explanation why this happens?

    Are use a Dreamwisp mask and nasal cushion system. Is it safe to leave the mask connected to my CPAP hose in order to circulate ozone through the mask inside the bag? Will the ozone cause deterioration of the silicon mask?

    need to return this machine. my husband developed a horrible rash with cracking skin after only sanitizing the machine a few times. want to return this item now.

    I was apprehensive at first, even more so with the smell when I used the sanitizer bag, but with the Tech suggestion of leaving the accessories out for a while to air after cleaning, and realizing how easy the sanitation process is, I am sold. The cost is worth it. No regrets with purchase of Sleep 8 Cleaner.

      No, there is not a way to replace the battery of the Sleep8 Sanitizer. “The Sleep8 device warranty covers manufacturer defects for 24 months for units purchased 11/01/2019 or later and 18 months for units purchased before 11/01/2019.
