Should the forehead pads be tightled pressed against my forehead?

The forehead pads should rest gently on the forehead without top straps being pulled too tight. If there are any leaks after gently tightening the top and lower straps, pull the mask slightly out from the face while straps are still attached. This will allow Silicone Seal to inflate with air. Put the mask back onto the face.

Can I clean the 407 mask in the dishwasher?

Do not wash the mask in the dishwasher. Do not clean the mask with products containing alcohol, anti-bacterial agents, antiseptic, bleach, chlorine or moisturizer.

What is the Glider Strap?

The Glider Strap is used to connect the headgear to the mask frame for stability, but it slides across the frame when the head is turned so that the pressure of the seal stays uniform regardless of sleep position.

Can I use the 407 Nasal Mask with any CPAP/BiPAP machine?

The Fisher & Paykel 407 Nasal Mask can be used with any CPAP machine. (not compatible with the Resmed AirMini)

Break the silicone seal's plastic cover. Take the FlexiFit 407 mask and spread the Stretchgear™ headgear enough to go over your head comfortably. Lightly place the FlexiFit 407 over your nose, then draw the headgear over your head gently. Connect the headgear to the Glider™ strap. The forehead pads should sit gently without your having to pull the top straps too tightly. After carefully securing the top and lower straps, if there are any leaks, move the mask away from the face marginally while the straps are still attached. Remove the headgear, silicone seal, and the foam cushion from the mask’s foundation. Wash the mask base and silicone seal in lukewarm water with some gentle detergent for 10 minutes. Rinse with fresh water. Wipe the foam cushion down with a wet towel. The foam cushion should not be soaked in water. Leave all materials to dry away from direct sunlight before reassembly.
