Maintain more comfortable CPAP therapy with heated humidification. Moist, warm air used with your CPAP machine helps prevent dry, sore throat and nasal dryness in the morning. For customers using the ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP, this dishwasher safe water chamber is a convenient, hygienic way to implement humidification with your therapy.

How to Use the Resmed AirSense 10 Water Chamber that is Dishwasher Safe

The integrated humidifier with the AirSense 10 makes adding water simple. First, slide the water chamber out of the side of the machine. Lift the lid and fill the water chamber to its capacity. The ResMed AirSense 10 dishwasher safe chamber has a capacity of 380 mL; do not fill past the max fill line. Once filled, close the lid and carefully replace the chamber back into the unit.

Settings for the humidifier can be adjusted via the “My Options” menu on your CPAP device. The temperature of the humidifier may need to be adjusted if the water disappears before therapy is finished.

Helpful Tip: Use distilled water in your water chamber to prevent calcium deposits and bacteria that can increase the risk of infection.

How to Clean Your ResMed AirSense 10 Water Chamber that is Dishwasher Safe

Cleaning your humidifier water chamber on a regular basis is important for staying healthy during CPAP therapy. At the conclusion of each therapy session, be sure to rinse any excess water from the chamber. Once a week, wash the chamber on the top rack only of your dishwasher. You can also wash by hand using warm water and a mild detergent. Let the unit air dry completely prior to replacing it with the CPAP machine.

How to Determine if the ResMed AirSense 10 Water Chamber is Dishwasher Safe?

AirSense 10, AirStart 10, and AirCurve 10 devices denote the "S" or "C" mark of the water chamber model. To find the term HumidAirTM and the accompanying letter embossed inside the tank, look immediately above the maximum fill line marked on the side of the chamber.

If the chamber shows a “C” it is a HumidAir C, which means the tank can be cleaned and the water chamber is dishwasher safe.

If the chamber shows an “S” it is a HumidAir S, which means it has a standard tank and the water chamber is not dishwasher safe.

Important Tips for Resmed AirSense 10 Water Chamber that is Dishwasher Safe

When it is inside the humidifier, never fill the ResMed AirSense 10 Water Chamber Dishwasher Safe chamber.

To fill the tank, use only bottled water stored at room temperature. Do not introduce into the water any toxins or additives. It can result in damage to either the airway or the water tank.

Never fill the ResMed AirSense 10 Water Chamber that is dishwasher safe past the highest fill limit or else the humidifier or CPAP device may suffer damage. If the water chamber is filled with excess water when the tank cover is mounted, water may gush out of the chamber inlet (located on the side of the tank).

Before disconnecting the hose from the tank outlet, inspect to make sure the hose does not have water in it, otherwise water in those may spill into the machine.

The door of the humidifier must be in an open position prior to removing the water tank. Do not drain the water tank without making sure the door locks on the humidifier are open. If there is water in the tank, never move the humidifier.

Before moving the humidifier frame, take out the chamber, drain all the water and refill the empty tank.

To avoid spills, avoid disconnecting the CPAP device from the water chamber with water in the reservoir. Before disconnecting the CPAP device, detach the humidifier from the ResMed AirSense 10 water chamber and empty all water.

Never switch on the humidifier without the water tank inserted. Keep the number setting of the humidifier set to 0 if no water is present in the water chamber.
