How To Fit and Adjust ResMed Swift FX?

A little trial and error with your ResMed Swift™ FX Nasal Pillow Mask and CPAP or bilevel machine at home will be necessary to get a truly proper fit. In a place where you can lie down just like you do when you sleep, practice wearing the mask. Keep the headgear in one hand and the ResMed Swift™ FX nasal pillow mask in the other while sitting upright. Place the ResMed Swift™ FX and pull the headgear over your head against the base of your nose. While the back strap rests low on the back of your head, the left and right headgear should fit over the top of your head. A good fit does not necessarily feel tight. The Swift™ FX nasal pillow should rest comfortably opposite the nostrils, without causing extra pressure. The headgear is too tight if you notice the Swift™ FX CPAP mask is putting too much pressure on your nose. The headgear would be too loose if there is space between the nasal pillow and the nose, making a poor seal. Release the velcro at the same time on both sides of the backstrap to adjust, and pull to tighten or release to loosen. Reattach the velcro to the back strap when the nasal cushion is secure against your nose.
