Product Overview

Who is the Resmed AirMini for?

The AirMini is the right travel CPAP machine for frequent flyers, road trippers, campers, and anyone who wants a dependable portable CPAP for sleep apnea that doesn’t take up half their bag. It’s equally well-suited as a full-time primary machine — many users run it nightly at home and on the road. Wherever you sleep, your sleep apnea therapy doesn't have to take a night off.

Standout Features of the Resmed AirMini Auto CPAP Machine

Ultra-Portability

At roughly the size of a soda can, this portable CPAP machine slides into a side pocket of your carry-on. Measuring 5.4″ × 3.3″ × 2.1″ and weighing just 10.6 oz, the Resmed AirMini is one of the most compact travel CPAP machines available for people with sleep apnea.

Waterless Humidification

The HumidX cartridge captures warmth and moisture from each exhale and cycles it back into your next breath. No reservoir. No distilled water. Replace the cartridge monthly. For drier climates or higher pressure settings, the HumidX Plus delivers increased moisture output — no water required either way.

Intelligent Comfort, Every Night

AutoRamp eases you into your prescribed CPAP therapy pressure while you fall asleep. Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR) softens resistance on every exhale. SmartStart begins your sleep apnea treatment automatically when you breathe into the mask, and SmartStop pauses it when you remove it.

App Control and Sleep Tracking

The free AirMini app(iOS and Android) connects over Bluetooth to display your nightly sleep score, mask seal rating, and CPAP therapy compliance data. Share results directly with your sleep specialist through Resmed’s AirView cloud platform — no office visit required.

Whisper-Quiet Operation

Running at under 30 dBA, the AirMini is quiet enough that your bed partner won’t notice it. That’s on par with some of the quietest full-size CPAP machines available — in a device a fraction of the size.

Pros of Resmed AirMini Auto CPAP Machine

  • Built for sleep apnea therapy on the road: same AutoSet algorithm and 4-20 cm H₂O pressure range as Resmed’s full-size machines.
  • Genuinely pocket-sized: 5.4″ × 3.3″ × 2.1″ — the most compact Resmed CPAP machine available.
  • Three therapy modes: Fixed-pressure CPAP, AutoSet (auto-adjusting), and AutoSet for Her — a more sensitive algorithm calibrated for female sleep apnea patterns.
  • FAA-approved for in-flight use: notify your airline 48 hours ahead and bring a copy of your prescription.
  • No subscription fees: the AirMini app is free — just register your serial number after purchase.
  • DC power capable: works with12V DC converters for use in cars, RVs, and off-grid camping.
  • Universal AC power: 100-240V auto-sensing — no voltage converter needed internationally.

Not Sure if Resmed AirMini Auto CPAP Machine is the Product For You?

A few things worth knowing before you buy:

The HumidX system works well for most CPAP users but delivers less total moisture than a heated water humidifier. If you live somewhere very dry or run high pressure settings for your sleep apnea treatment, the HumidX Plus cartridge offers enhanced output.

This portable CPAP machine requires Resmed-specific setup packs to connect compatible masks — your existing Resmed mask won’t plug in without one, even if it’s the same model.

Standard CPAP hoses are not compatible. Watch this video for more information.

There's no onboard screen - all setting are mananged through the AirMini app. If you prefer a machine with physical controls, a full-size CPAP machine may better suit your needs.

Pack Light. Sleep Right.

The Resmed AirMini was built around a single premise: CPAP therapy for sleep apnea should require zero negotiation with your luggage. At 5.4″ long and 10.6 oz, this portable CPAP machine fits into the outer pocket of a backpack or the seat pocket of an airplane. Whether you’re away for a weekend or traveling for a month, your sleep apnea treatment routine doesn’t have to change. The AirMini is FAA-approved for in-flight use, runs on universal AC power (100–240V) with no converter needed, and accepts DC input for car and RV use — making it one of the most versatile travel CPAP machines on the market.

Advanced Therapy Features

Compact size doesn’t mean compromised sleep apnea treatment. The Resmed AirMini AutoSet runs the same AutoSet algorithm found in Resmed’s full-size machines, adjusting delivery pressure breath by breath throughout the night across a full 4–20 cm H₂O range.

AutoRamp starts at a lower pressure when you put the mask on and gradually works up to your prescribed CPAP therapy level as you fall asleep. Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR) reduces pressure on each exhale, making obstructive sleep apnea therapy feel more natural and less like breathing against resistance.

SmartStart / SmartStop detects when you’re wearing the mask and begins your sleep apnea therapy automatically — no fumbling for a button in the dark. Removing the mask pauses therapy just as seamlessly.

Effortless Humidification

Traditional CPAP machine humidifiers require a water chamber, distilled water, and a heated hose. The AirMini dispenses with all of that through HumidX waterless humidification — a Heat and Moisture Exchange (HME) cartridge that clips between the mask tubing and the mask. Each time you exhale, the HumidX cartridge captures the warmth and humidity from your breath and releases it back on your next inhale. The result is humidified CPAP therapy air — without a single drop of water involved.

HumidX(standard, for N20, N30, P10 masks), HumidX Plus(higher output for dry climates or high-pressure therapy), and HumidX F20(for F20 mask users). Replace monthly.

Sleep Tracking and Data

The AirMini pairs with Resmed’s free companion app via Bluetooth, giving you a breakdown of each night’s CPAP therapy on your phone: sleep score, hours of use, AHI (apnea events per hour), and mask seal quality. The app retains 30 days of data and syncs with Resmed’s AirView cloud platform so your sleep specialist can review your sleep apnea therapy compliance remotely.

Note: Turn off Bluetooth during flights using the button on top of the device. Start and stop CPAP therapy manually with that same button when flying.

Quiet and Comfortable

The AirMini operates at under 30 dBA — quiet enough that most bed partners don’t notice it. Combined with EPR’s softer exhalation pressure and AutoRamp’s gradual startup, this travel CPAP machine is designed to make sleep apnea therapy feel like a natural part of your bedtime routine, not a medical intrusion.

Mask Compatibility

The Resmed AirMini travel CPAP machine is compatible with the following masks via dedicated AirMini Setup Packs:

· AirFit P10(nasal pillow) — compatible with HumidX and HumidX Plus

· AirFit N20 / AirTouch N20(nasal) — compatible with HumidX and HumidX Plus

· AirFit N30(nasal cradle) — compatible with HumidX and HumidX Plus

· AirFit F20 / AirTouch F20(full face) — uses HumidX F20 cartridge

Important: Even if you own one of the above masks, you must purchase an AirMini-specific Setup Pack. Standard CPAP hoses and connectors are not compatible. Watch our video for more information.

CPAP for Flying and Long-Distance Travel

The Resmed AirMini is FAA-approved for CPAP use on commercial flights. Before you fly, notify your airline at least 48 hours in advance and carry a printed copy of your sleep apnea prescription — some carriers request documentation at the gate.

If your seat doesn’t have a power outlet, the AirMini is compatible with travel batteries including the Medistrom Pilot-24 Lite, which provides approximately 13–16 hours of CPAP therapy runtime at 10 cm H₂O. Note that CPAP machines do not count toward your carry-on allowance under FAA rules.

What's Included?

The following items are included when purchasing the Resmed AirMini Travel CPAP Machine:

  • AirMini Machine
  • Power Supply Cord
  • Drawstring Bag
  • Filter
  • User Guide
  • 2-year warranty

Noise level experiences may differ. Many customers appreciate the machine's compact design and quiet operation, while some users find it slightly louder than their standard home CPAP device.

⚠️ Important before you check out: This travel CPAP machine ships without tubing. The required tube is included in the Mask Setup Pack — select yours during checkout. If you already own a compatible Resmed mask, you still need an AirMini-specific Setup Pack to connect it. Standard CPAP hoses are not compatible with this portable CPAP machine.

    Great Travel CPAP

I have been traveling more lately and the AirMini has made taking a CPAP with me so much easier. I use the nasal cushion with it and find it quite comfortable. The machine makes less noise than my full size one at home. The best part is the auto on and auto function. If you have to get up in the middle of the night, no more pausing your CPAP and the restarting it.
