Will health insurance cover the SoClean 2 CPAP Cleaner and Sanitizer?
At this time the SoClean is not covered under health insurance.
Are there supplies that have to be changed with SoClean 2?
Yes, every six months of normal use, the filter and check valve needs to be changed.
How long will the SoClean 2 CPAP Cleaner machine last?
We warranty the SoClean for two years. However, in manufacturer testing, they simulated running the machine for over 5 years and experienced no issues.
How does the SoClean 2 CPAP Sanitizer produce activated oxygen?
The SoClean produces the activated oxygen on its own. Regular oxygen from the air is taken in and converted to activated oxygen, O3, for the sanitizing/cleaning process. The filter in the chamber converts it back to regular oxygen, O2, before it exits the chamber.
Why do I need an adapter for SoClean 2?
SoClean works with most CPAP equipment. There are some brands and models that will need an adapter for SoClean to work. The SoClean adapter helps users set up and install SoClean easier and also allows many CPAP machines to maintain their heated hose functionality.
Does the SoClean 2 get rid of facial oils on my mask?
The SoClean will inhibit facial oil build-up, but it will not remove the oils. Although the SoClean will sanitize and kill any germs, bacteria, or other pathogens on your mask, some inert residue can be left behind. You may need to wipe off your mask from time to time, or even use the pre-wash provided.
What size mask fits in the SoClean 2 CPAP Cleaner?
The SoClean chamber has a 5” X 5” opening and is 7” deep. Any CPAP mask under that size will fit.
When and why do you need the neutralizing pre-wash?
The neutralizing pre-wash is intended to use prior to the first use of your SoClean or when introducing new equipment to your CPAP cleaning system to wash your CPAP mask, hose and reservoir. The pre-wash is a fragrance-free hypoallergenic cleaning solution. The pre-wash neutralizes any pre-existing odors from detergents, and removes any residue from the manufacturing process.
Is SoClean 2 covered by health insurance?
SoClean 2 is not covered by health insurance at this time.
Does SoClean 2 have any replaceable parts?
Yes, every six months of regular usage. It is important to change the filter and the check valve.
How long is your SoClean 2 CPAP Cleaner and sanitizing machine going to last?
We guarantee a SoClean 2 warranty of one year. However, research has simulated operating the device for more than 5 years and encountered no problems.
How is activated oxygen created by the SoClean 2?
The SoClean 2 CPAP Cleaner and Sanitizer is able to produce activated oxygen on its own. For the sanitizing/cleaning process, the SoClean draws normal oxygen present in the air and converts it into activated oxygen, O3. The filter in the chamber converts the activated oxygen into normal oxygen before the O3 can leave the chamber.
Why do I need a SoClean 2 adapter?
Although SoClean 2 can clean and sanitize most CPAP devices, a few brands and models may require the use of an adapter. The SoClean 2 adapter is easy for users to set up and install. SoClean 2 adapters also help maintain the functionality of some heated hoses for CPAP.
Can the SoClean 2 CPAP Cleaner and sanitizing machine remove facial oils on the CPAP mask?
The SoClean 2 Cleaner and Sanitizer can prevent the build-up of facial oil, but the oils will not be removed. While the SoClean 2 will sanitize and kill any bacteria, germs, or any other pathogens from your mask, some inert residues may be left behind. You can get rid of the residue by wiping off your mask from time to time, or you can even use the pre-wash provided.
When and why is the neutralizing pre-wash required?
It is recommended that before using the SoClean 2 CPAP Cleaner for the first time, you use the neutralizing pre-wash to wash your hose, CPAP mask, and reservoir.
