This mask takes the combination of full face and nasal pillow. 2 small oval shapped pillows are inserted into the nose while a soft silicone cushion surrond the mouth. This first design by ResMed is a great fit for people that are claustrophobic and want a smaller size full face mask. Because there is no forehead pad, the amount of pressure points on the face is greatly reduced. This mask offers is a quiet all purpose full face mask for those looking to avoid a forehead pad and desire a clear field of vision.

Best Mask I have ever had!!! ResMed Mirage Liberty ™ Full Face Mask. Had to try the different nostril sizes to get a good fit. No leaks and very comfortable. The clips could be a little better, but we'll see how they stand up. Two months so far and no problems and I sleep on my side a lot.

This is the best mask I have had. I've had three is the last 18 months. It works well for me with one exception, I have to tighten the mask so it doesn't leak around the lower left and right side of my mouth and in doing so, it is moving my teeth. The point right under my nose is a pressure point. If this mask were a little narrower, it would work better for me.

Having tried six or seven other styles and types of mask, I tried this one and liked it immediately. It allows me to sleep on my side and, though it does leak somewhat with the machine I have (Resmed s80), it lets me sleep comfortably most of the night because the leaks--usually it's the nose pillows--aren't right around my eyes and are fairly minimal. If you're looking for a mask that is good quality, unobtrusive, and very adjustable and are tired of air leaks blowing you awake, try this mask.

Very tough to get a good seal/fit with this mask. There is another lower priced hybrid that costs less and actually lasted longer than this one.
I would not recommend nor will I buy this one again.

ResMed does make the highest quality CPAP products I think, and I have used several different types of full face and nasal pillow type masks. But for me, I just wasn't able to get the Liberty to stay sealed all night. And adjusting the fit of the nasal pillows is difficult to accomplish while under pressure. The mask seems to have a very high flow rate through the vent holes which my S8 Elite doesn't seem to like. It roars loudly every time I take a breath. Perhaps it would work better with a different machine. I can't use this mask. A very costly (failed) experiment.

I loved the mask and it is very quiet verses the full one. The full one has permanent disfigured the bridge of my nose. The pillows are great and the mask around the mouth does push against the teeth but I can easily live with it.
The old face mask was very noisy.
The elbow on the mask does need some serious work and needs to be strengthened. I get a new face mask every six months but the elbow breaks at least two times. So that is at a minimum 4 to 5 elbow breaks a year. WAKE UP RESMED and strengthen the elbow or do you like selling them to make money?
I can go into the store to get a replacement but it is a long drive and elect to buy two once a year and drive the rest of the time. Frustrating!!

I got the Resmed Mirage Liberty because I sometimes breathe thru my mouth when I sleep. This could be a great mask except for the fact that the mouth part is inflexible and I have a narrow jaw. I am also a side sleeper. As a result, if I sleep on one side, the other side sounds out the Bronx cheer and vice versa. Tightening the straps only causes the nasal pillows to pop out. So I tighten the head straps. Everything is fine after that other than the fact that the mask becomes very uncomfortable. If this mask had a softer more flexible mouth piece then if would be wonderful!

I ordered this for my husband who needs something for both nose and mouth. The full face masks he's tried prior don't work well for side-sleeping and he just doesn't sleep well on his back. As a result he quit wearing the mask and I started wearing ear plugs! He's been using the mask for a few weeks now and LOVES it! He's sleeping the whole night through in whatever position he wants and feeling rested when waking. The two of us getting to sleep well again is priceless :-)

ResMed Mirage Liberty ™ Full Face Mask
I was skeptical about using a mask with nasal pillows because I am a mouth breather. Every mask I have ever had has leaked around the eyes, causing severe dry eyes and leading to numerous eye infections. I must say, your customer service rep was right on the money when recommending this mask. The pillows were not hard to get used to and the mask absolutely does not leak anywhere, what a relief.

I certainly prefer this mask over my old full face. Less equipment on my face, less weight, and it's pretty comfortable.

ResMed Mirage Liberty ™ Full Face Mask... I was attracted to the design of this mask and thought it would be nice because it covers less of my face. I have tried it for almost a month now. However, I am very, very sorry I did.
The mask has to be adjusted very tightly to form a seal around my mouth. When I pull it tight enough to seal, the lower edge of the mouthpiece pushes my lower lip up against my teeth so hard that it becomes blistered, raw and bleeds. This mask would be much better if it cupped the chin instead of putting all of that sealing pressure against the area just below your lower lip. I am scrapping it and starting over. I have used bi-pap for 12 years. This is not my first mask.

Very comfortable, light weight, effective. You can sleep and not feel like you have a large engulfing mask on you. I sleep like a baby.

I needed a full face, but wasn't looking forward to something covering my whole face. This was a great option for me. Clear field of vision. I can open my mouth at night and still get a good seal with this mask.

I need a full face mask, but I had problems with the first type that I tried, or more correctly, that was assigned to me. I could never get a leak-free fit without compressing the bridge of my nose so much that it started to cause injury. I read where prolonged use in this situation can ultimately cause cartilage damage; no thanks.
I like this mask very much. It fits and works very well and I can wear reading glasses with it which I really like, but it has a design problem with the rotating elbow assembly that connects the air tubing to the mask. The plastic ring on the elbow that engages the mask inlet, allowing the tubing to rotate and to provide easy connection/disconnection, is too flimsy in my opinion, and it breaks (cracks) relatively easily. I don't move around too much in my sleep, and I position the air hose from my VPAP machine for maximum slack to place as little strain as possible on the elbow/mask, but the elbow assembly still fails. I think the ring design should be made stronger, and/or the elbow assembly should be designed to disconnect under tension without destroying itself. The elbow assembly is too expensive to be a regularly consumable part, I think.
I purchased a second elbow about 6 weeks after I started using the mask, but that one didn't last too long either. I have alternately repaired and reused both elbow assemblies, but the repairs, using an epoxy cement, don't last long either. Epoxy does not seem to adhere all that well to the type of plastic the assembly uses. Perhaps there is a better cement for this purpose, such as polystyrene cement, I don't know.
All in all, I think it's a good mask and I will continue to use it and hope that somebody at Resmed is paying attention and will beef-up the elbow design.
I really like the design for this full face mask. I can wear my glasses and watch tv without a mask frame or headgear getting in the way. Mine came with 3 different sizes too, so I got the right fit for me. I have this mask hooked up to my S7 Resmed.
