OPTIMIZING PRESSURE AT HOME

Combining warmth and humidity: The PR System One Remstar Pro improves the user’s CPAP therapy experience by combining enhanced performance and comfort with a more robust and effective humidification system. Incorporates a room and humidity sensor with a temperature sensor at the end of the heated tube allows a selected level of humidity to protect against rainout. These preferred humidity and temperature levels throughout the night make for a more tailored CPAP experience. By offering 5 humidity temperate settings, higher levels of humidity can be achieved for users who prefer humidification during CPAP therapy. If you prefer no humidity, the “classic” mode gives users the ability to shut off Humidity Control.

C-Flex+ Technology: Clinically proven PR System One Remstar Pro algorithm enhances comfort by improving upon an already great technology; C-Flex. C-Flex pressure relief reduces pressure at exhalation and just before inhalation in order to dramatically improve comfort. With Digital Auto-Trak, this highly sensitive algorithm tracks each breath and detects the onset of an apnea event to deliver optimal pressure. C-Flex+ further softens pressure transition from inhalation to exhalation to provide additional comfort in fixed CPAP mode.

3 Smart Operating Modes – Optimizing CPAP therapy is key to compliance. The PR System One Remstar PRO has 3 operational modes to customize therapy and improve compliance.

Auto-Trial Mode - delivers breath-by-breath Auto-CPAP therapy for up to a total of 30-days. At the end of the Auto-Trial period, the device will automatically transition into the CPAP-Check mode at the pressure the patient was at or below 90% of the trial period time. (Note that Auto-Trial mode is for temporary use only and must be used for a minimum of 3 nights to be effective. The REMstar PRO is NOT an Auto-CPAP Machine.)

CPAP-Check Mode - checks on the user every 30-hours to determine if therapy pressure is optimal. If not, it automatically adjusts the nightly fixed CPAP pressure by 1 cm H2O (with maximum upper and lower limits of 3 cm) to obtain an ideal pressure.

Straight CPAP Mode - is for use when therapy with no changes or checks is preferred. In straight CPAP mode the REMstar PRO will not make pressure checks or adjust therapy levels although normal therapy data will still be tracked.

Ultimate Mask Fit technology – When the CPAP and mask are in sync, comfort and compliance increase dramatically. With the PR System One Remstar Pro resistance control, it compensates for different resistance characteristics with each specific mask style. When the CPAP and mask work optimally together, users receive the full benefit of C-Flex+ no matter what mask is being used.

Be Informed with Advanced Detection and Reporting:

By tracking many common OSA events, the PR System One Remstar Pro addresses needs of both the user and sleep doctor. By providing AHI, leak and flow limitation and snores, optimal therapy can be designed to meet the user’s specific needs. More importantly, the PR System One Remstar Pro can also indentify symptoms beyond classic OSA and indicate the potential need for specialized treatment.

Dry Box Technology:

Water ingress is a significant risk to the performance of any CPAP. With PR System One’s Dry Box technology, the risk of water ingress has now been nearly eliminated. The innovatively designed water chamber allows for the chamber to be tilted, or even upside down, without leaking back into the machine. Even if water leaks into the water chamber, the Dry Box prevents it from escaping into the CPAP.

Humidity Control and Heated Tubing:

Adding humidification to sleep therapy has been proven to dramatically increase comfort and compliance. The PR System One Remstar Pro achieves optimal humidification results by enhancing intelligence. The optional System One Heated Humidifier measures and adapts to changes in room temperature, therapy flow, and humidity levels to deliver a precise, user selected, level of humidity at the mask regardless of changes in room temperature. 5 user selected dial settings allow personalization of therapy with consistent delivery of temperature and humidity throughout the night. The System One Heated Tubing provides protection from rainout and allows greater humidity levels than traditional non-heated tubing systems. Even with room temperature and humidity levels changing, PR System One Remstar Pro uses advanced sensing to maintain user selected relative humidity levels and deliver consistent results.
