The Ultimate CPAP Mask Leaks Checklist
CPAP mask leaks are without a doubt one of the most troublesome issues one can have with his or her CPAP therapy, and leaks happen to almost every CPAP user at some point or another. Some are lucky enough to find their “perfect fit” mask the first time around, but others struggle for years to find a mask that doesn’t let noisy air out, disturb their partner, and lessen the effectiveness of the CPAP machine.
With this guide, we hope to help people troubleshoot their mask issues and figure out how to solve the problem. We know how annoying those leaks are, and on top of that, they’re not good for your health. (The more air that gets out of the mask, the less that gets into your lungs.)
Maybe your mask is just too old and the straps are worn out, or maybe the mask you bought is just the wrong shape for your bone structure. Whatever the case may be, we are here to help answer your questions and help you figure out how to get your best night’s sleep ever.
PS: If your mask is causing you problems, we offer risk-free 30-day returns. Buy any mask and give it a try for a few nights – if you don’t like it, send it back within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. You just might find your new favorite sleeping partner.
I know I should replace the part of my full face mask in co tact with my face but find it too expensive to do this every three months. Is there a cheaper way of buying them?
No, there is not. We get our price mapping directly from the manufacturers.
What can you do when the mask seal has an unhappy face. Everything else is working ok.
Hello, Christine. It seems like you may have a mask leak. If the mask cushion has been used longer then three mouths, it would help to replace he mask cushion. It is recommended to replace the mask cushion every 2 or 3 months to insure a good seal. If you find seal has broken in your sleep, you want to lift the cushion away from your face and angle the top of the cushion down toward the bridge of your noise first when replacing it. It will also help to wipe down, or wash the cushion daily. If you are experiencing minor leaks it may help to look into a mask liner.
