Compact Mask Design

Unlike traditional full face masks, the AirFit F40 is small in size, lightweight in design, and extremely comfortable. Its reduced bulk provides a secure and stable seal throughout the night so that users receive effective therapy every night. The under-the-nose design results in minimal contact and the AdaptiSeal™ cushion is soft silicone that can adapt to every patient.

Flexibility and Freedom

The frame of the AirFit F40 is flexible yet secure to enhance the overall fit and feel of the mask. The flexibility of the design allows users to easily maintain their fit without disrupting their seal. Additionally, the fabric sleeves around the frame add even more comfort, softness, and security around the face.

User-Friendly

This mask's headgear includes four adjustment points to help users easily adjust and customize their fit to their unique facial shape and size. The magnetic clips are also very simple to snap on and off as well as the quick-release elbow, making it easy for patients to attach and unattach from treatment, if necessary, in the middle of the night.

QuietAir Venting

The cushion is equipped with QuietAir technology, which is diffused venting, designed to diffuse noise coming from the mask. This results in a more peaceful sleeping environment for both the CPAP patient and their bed partner.

Grade A Fitting

Clinicians said it was easy to fit the AirFit F40 on 95% of patients. Three headgear and three cushion sizes make this mask a potential fit for most patients. And, with magnetic clips that easily snap on and off coupled with fewer headgear adjustment points, the AirFit F40 is easy to use.

Who is this Mask Best For?

This mask is designed for all types of patients, including:

  • Those who want a small, lightweight full face mask with minimal contact with the face
  • Those who sleep on their side or move around while asleep
  • Those who want the freedom and flexibility of reduced tube drag
  • Those who like the convenience of magnetic clips
  • Those who want the stability and seal of a universal fit in a minimal design

Customer Reviews of the AirFit F40

"I am very happy with this new mask so far. I have a short beard and finding a full face mask that seals consistently without being overtightened is very difficult. The fully flexible silicone is really great and the headgear it attaches to at the front is also flexible so even when you lay on the mask, the whole setup flexes with your face and retains good seal and comfort. With other hybrid masks, I had issues with the plastic at the front digging into my face. It is also easy to wipe clean.

I was using the P30i nasal pillows but have been waiting for a full/hybrid mask I can wear with my facial hair. The pillows were irritating and pulling on my nostrils quite a bit. I find that this mask with the hose at the front with a 360° swivel and the extension hose is very easy to manage for a side sleeper. I move around quite a bit at night and have not had an issue with the hose location. I have experienced some minimal irritation and rubbing under my nose but some ointment has been taking care of that and I expect my skin will get used to the mask pretty quickly.

One thing you need to be cognizant of is that ResMed indicates that the PAP machine needs to be set to “Pillows” to get the correct pressure and accurate readings not “Full face” like it is for other hybrid masks so just make sure your machine is set correctly. It clearly states this on all of the packaging.

I will definitely continue to use the new Airfit F40 and am grateful ResMed made this advancement." - Review by Alexander

"Having used various masks for over fifteen years, I find that the ResMed F40 is a real advancement. I am a back sleeper and I have found the F40 to reduce mouth breathing and noise. The mouthpiece is comfortable and has not irritated my skin, unlike other full face masks. The design does not obstruct my eyesight. I am very pleased with this choice." - Review by WC

How to Fit the AirFit F40

  1. Unclip the lower straps away from the frame and place a cushion under the nose to fit against the face. With the ResMed logo facing up, pull the headgear over the head.
  2. Bring the lower straps behind the ears and reattach to the frame with the magnetic clips. Feed longer hair through the back of the frame, if needed.
  3. Adjust the upper straps and then the lower straps for a snug fit.
