Key Features of ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP Machine

The ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP machine makes the process of getting started simple. One of the machine’s best features is its ability to sense changes in your breathing and adjust the CPAP pressure without you having to tell it to do so.

Additional Key Features:

  • Integrated heated humidifier
  • Heated tubing (optional upgrade)
  • Connected Care (built-in wireless technology)
  • SmartRamp technology
  • Low noise levels
  • User-friendly interface, LCD screen and front-facing display
  • EPR
  • AirSense 10 For Her has a different algorithm that is designed specifically for women.

In this video we also discuss the ResMed AirSense 10’s various parts and how easy they are to remove and customize. Our sleep expert discusses how each part works how the machine stacks against competition.

Benefits of Using ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP Machine

With ResMed’s integrated heated humidification system, users will experience improved comfort during CPAP therapy. Users have the ability to adjust the humidification to a level of their choosing to optimize comfort. The addition of the ClimateLine heated tubing unlocks the potential of the machine’s climate control setting—allowing users to control the temperature of the air pressure they receive.

The ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP is also virtually quiet with an operating volume of 27 dBA. This means minimal or no interruptions to your sleep. With a weight of only 2.75 lbs, the AirSense 10 is perfect for both at-home and on-the-go use.

Disadvantages of Using ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP Machine

Some users have cited the built-in humidifier and removable water chamber as a disadvantage to the ResMed AirSense 10, as it adds to the machine’s footprint. If you do not currently use a humidifier with your CPAP machine and are looking at the AirSense 10, learning how to adjust or turn off the humidifier settings will be key. Additionally, a side plate cover can be purchased to replace the water chamber which further reduces the size of the machine.

Types of ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP Machines & Their Differences

ResMed’s AirSense Series of CPAP devices are uniquely designed for streamlined set-up, WiFi connectivity, and compliance management and monitoring processes. The AirSense series is also intuitive, very user-friendly and offers a smaller bedside footprint than other devices with a front-facing screen.

Here is a list of the various versions of the AirSense 10 CPAP machine, as well as the features they offer:

I have had my Rosemead for a little over two years,And it is an excellent machine, dependable, and quiet. The only flaw in the design as far as I can tell is the filter cover does not want to stay on the machine. I want clean hair free of large pollutants and if the filter cover falls off the filter comes out and I’m breathing just plain Roumare. A simple retainer on the filter cover would be simple to integrate and saw this one annoying little problem. However I would recommend this machine to anybody suffering from OSA.

My humidifier is not working. It has not used water in over a week. I wake up in the middle of the night with very dry mouth and stop using it. Any suggestions on how to get the humidifier to work ?

    • Chris Vasta

Hello, you could try adjusting the humidification settings and or heated tube. With regard to having a dry mouth, typically it helps to use a chinstrap or the Somnifix Mouth Strip.

  • Linda R Kuhn

FOUND THE PROBLEM!! Loose plug!! Thanks for the video on the set up!!

  • Linda R Kuhn

Hum…unit has totally shut down! Although plugged into an active electrical wall plug & all connections are secure, the unit DOES NOT turn on–nothing, nada…what’s wrong?? Fix or buy a new unit??

    • Chris Vasta

Please contact the supplier of your CPAP machine. They would be able to determine if you would want to send it in for testing. You may also want to check if the CPAP machine is still under warranty.

  • Linda

I wake up to extreme dry mouth, an empty humidifier and the heating element too hot to touch! What would you reccomend?
    Thank you!

  • Frank W Black

i have a major problem with these machines drying my mouth out so much that i have to discontinue using the machine. I have talked to 3 other people and 2 of them have the same problem. it seems strange that this common problem has not been addressed with a larger water compartment option. It may be nice to have a small unit but not at the expense of customer satisfaction.

    • Chris Vasta

Dry mouth is not an abnormal occurrence for people using CPAP therapy because of the pressurized air required to help open the air passage. There are several things you can do to help reduce dry mouth, You can adjust the humidification setting on the machine and incorporate a heated tube, use a full face mask, and keep hydrated. A chin strap or the Somnifix mouth strips can also help when combined with the CPAP mask to prevent your mouth from dropping open. Lastly, If you are taking medications you will also want to check with your treating physician to see if they could be the cause.

You advertise an auxilary battery for this unit for $399.00. How does this operate on the Resmed10 that normally uses a 90W power system that plugs into a 110 volt supply.

    • Chris Vasta

The AirSense10 Output is 24V and the electrical range is Input range 100–240V, 50–60Hz. The batteries we have in stock that will work with the Airsense10 CPAP are the Medistrom 24 Pilot Battery, the Freedom battery, and the ResMed Power Station II Battery Kit. Are you looking for a battery if the power goes out for a night or for other activities like camping?

Phrases like this sounds like a snake oil charlatan seller: “ The addition of the ClimateLine heated tubing unlocks the potential of the machine’s climate control setting” . It raises doubts about the rest of your product description

    • Chris Vasta

The ResMed Climate Line Heated Hose prevents moisture build up in the tube, and both the heated tube and the heated humidifier have a temperature sensor, which allows them to perform best when used together. The heated tube is only necessary when you are using a heated humidifier and have a high setting that will cause moisture build up in the tube. Since this doesn’t always happen, a standard tube is usually fine
